About Our Founder
Renée Morris was born in 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Abington High School in 1976, she studied a year at Penn State then transferred to Cheyney University where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education in 1981.
After graduation and receiving her teaching certificate, Renée went on to teach special education for 10 years in both public and private schools. She acquired a wide range of teaching experience helping children in all grades and areas to learn. It was during this season, that she also received her Masters Equivalency in Education.
In 1982, Renée married her college sweetheart Michael Morris. In 1991, while they were expecting their third child at the suggestion of a friend Renée began homeschooling her 2 younger children. It was shortly after she began working with her own kids that Renée saw that many other homeschool families did not have a sympathetic evaluator who could help them comply with the law and educate their children.
Eighteen years later, Renée has now assisted over 1,000 families to provide an appropriate and legally compliant education for their children.
